Last month Metallica announced the lineup for their Orion Festival, taking place in an abandoned airport in Atlantic City June 23rd and 24th. But after the announcement some people weren't happy with the lineup, saying it was to indie rock for their metal audience.
Now Lars Ulrich is defending the festival, in a interview with Pulse Radio:
"This whole thing is kind of based more around the classic festivals that we've been playing in Europe for the better part of the last 25, 30 years, which is really about diversity and really about kind of many, many different musical experiences. Now whether anybody buys into that or not, we'll find out, but there's gonna be lots an lots of cool, heavy stuff, trust me."
Metallica will play the 'Black Album' and 'Ride the Lightning' in their entirety at the festival.
