Bono Vouches for Courtney Love to Rent New Apartment

Courtney Love
U2's Bono wrote a character reference for Counrtney Love so she could rent a condo in Manhattan.

The New York Daily News interviewed Love, and she explained she had to turn to Bono to help pump up her application for the condo.  Love is involved in a legal dispute with her old landlord, who said she hadn't paid the rent and damaged the property.

In the interview she says the new potential landlord isn't asking for a credit check, but instead asked for character references.

"They chose Bono.  He wrote a paragraph."she said.  "I've never gotten a noise complaint.  It sounds really lame, being a rock star and all.  But i haven't.  That'ts not true.  I did get one once, when I was living on the sixth flor of the Mercer [Hotel].  I was watching that movie with Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.  The person next door called and compained it was too loud."

What Bono said about Courtney Love on the rental application has not been revealed.
