After back and forth whether Scott Weiland would join Velvet Revolver again, it has been officially announced he is back with the band.
4 years ago Scott Weiland left the band, and until now they have yet to replace him. In January the full lineup got together for a one off show in Hollywood.
In a interview with ABC News Radio, Scott Weiland said that he is the lead vocalist for Velvet Revolver once again. "We've all grown a lot. We're able to put egos and differences and old...conflicts aside and so that's really cool." said Weiland.
Weiland also talked about touring and a new album. "Slash's solo album gets released [on May 22] and so he's gonna do some touring on that and then we're gonna go and do some [Velvet Revolver] shows in the later part of the summer in to early fall. They gave me a couple of songs and myself and [guitarist] Dave [Kushner] and [bassist] Duff [McKagan] are gonna be getting together for a song writing session next week."
UPDATE: Slash did a interview with Minneapolis station 93X saying "He did not say [we're back together]? He's out of his mind. There's been a common rumor going around. I know that he's been positive on that subject. Maybe they know something I don't. I have absolutely no intention of going back to that." said Slash. "I'm on tour all this year. I'll have to call Duff [Mckagan], but I seriously doubt that. We have no intentions of going backwards."
