Killswitch Engage Announce "New" Frontman

Killswitch Engage
Killswitch Engage announced today that they have brought back original frontman Jesse Leach. We previously reported Killswitch was on the hunt for a new frontman after Howard Jones suddenly left the band at the beginning of the year.

There were rumors immediately that Leach would be rejoining the band. Those rumors were shot down when Leach himself denied the rumors, and Killswitch held open auditions for the band.

Today the band released the band photo showing Leach back with his old group. Leach was with the band on 2000's self titled album, and 2002's 'Alive or Just Breathing'.

How do you feel about Jesse Leach rejoining the band?

Another one bites the dust: Torrent Giant btjunkie voluntarily shuts down

Monday, February 6, 2012

Popular torrent site, btjunkie.org, voluntarily shut its operation down today, abandoning nearly a decade of file sharing history.
It has been assumed the move was a reaction to avoid being the next target of the latest of federal crack downs which have already laid out Torrent sites PirateBay and Megaupload. "we've been fighting for years for your right to communicate, but it's time to move on." says the British based .org site. Insinuating the move has been in response to what I can only imagine being an overwhelming encumbrance in midst of the recent crackdown that has left a wake of legal issues for sites already facing prosecution.
Is this another sign that pirated Music has seen the end of days and the music industry can go back to charging $20 for a CD they pay 5 cents to make (including the royalties they pay artists) or will illegal pirated media find itself a new outlet? One thing is certain, the industry is not giving up on its fight, for its right. to gouging.

Dave Grohl Backing Sitcom About Band In Therapy

Alright we know, there is a lot of Dave Grohl news on here lately. But you have to admit, the dude can't be stopped. Working a new Foo Fighters album, producing other bands projects, making documentaries, taking backstage and drumming on other band projects, and now... Executive producer on a tv series?

Deadline Hollywood reports Grohl got involved with star and creator Dana Gould about a rock band that is about to make it big, and on the verge of breaking up. So the members take to therapy to work out their band issues. Think in the line of Metallica's 'Some Kind Of Monster'.

Just looking at who is involved, the little we know looks promising. And did we mention it's going to air on FX? They have a pretty damn solid track record for quality programming.
